If  the answer is not clear the solution is hidden in plain site.  Seek here for the clues to find my people  - Julian's invention will guide you to the right page.  For those weary travelers coming from afar respite can be had at area lodging or you may set up camp nearby.  I will gladly provide information for interested seekers.

Tom,

Sorry, I can't make it. Sounds like this year's festival is
shaping up to be a carnival beyond compare. Although I can't be
there in person, I'll be sure to cook up a good sideshow for you...
and maybe a batch of pumpkin cookies, too.

Well, I figured out the date and unfortunately cannot make it
(located the site as well with some assistance).
I don't understand your latest hint though. I put in "Julian"
and "invention" in google and came up with the inventor of cortisone.
Don't think that was what you had in mind ;-)

Being deficient on mystery clues, and busy and on this date, I think
I will have to wait for a plain invite in my area.

Hmm, maybe that means we should be prepared for poison ivy...

The item referred to is actually Gregorian but I thought that Julian
might cue you in faster. Before the internet there was always the
dictionary... ;o)

I live in Mass and my son and I would like to attend the fall gathering but
I'm a bit stumped. Hints anyone?

Hmmm, I actually figured this out previous to yesterday's posting,
Tom, but aren't you referring to one of Julius Caesar's Roman
standards set in 46 BC, not Julian's invention? (See I own a real
dictionary. OK, well maybe I don't actually own one but I do have
one on my desk at work).

If I can talk my husband into it we will be there and plan on camping
nearby.

46 B.C., the "year of confusion"
Now that is something I can relate to!
;-)
